Her practice focuses on securities law, banking regulation, fintech, equity and debt offerings in both domestic and international capital markets, as well as cross-border financing transactions, corporate restructurings, financial conglomerates, mergers and acquisitions, lending transactions, general corporate advisory matters, and legal counsel to non-profit organizations.
She has more than 30 years of experience as a lawyer, having practiced at leading corporate law firms, advised non-profit organizations, and served as Head of Legal Affairs for both national and multinational companies.
María Angélica earned her law degree from the National University of La Plata and completed an academic exchange program at the University of Ottawa. She has further enhanced her academic background through specialized studies in International Humanitarian Law at the University of Salvador, Compliance and Business Law at IAE Business School, a certification in Energy Economics and Energy Efficiency from the General Mosconi Argentine Institute of Energy, and a Professional Certificate from the Ethics & Compliance Initiative.
She holds a Master's Degree in Applied Legal Theory and Legal Argumentation from the University of Buenos Aires School of Law and is currently pursuing her doctoral thesis. She is also the author of several publications in her areas of expertise.
María Angélica previously served as a Board Member of the Buenos Aires Stock Exchange (BCBA) and as Director of Bolsas y Mercados Argentinos (BYMA). She currently serves as Vice Chair of the Mercado Electrónico de Gas (MEG). In addition, she chairs the Finance Committee of the Argentine-Canadian Chamber of Commerce (CCAC), is a member of the Franco-Argentine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIFA), and lectures in the Intensive Training Program for Corporate Lawyers at Thomson Reuters Argentina.
